Zhang Juwei is a leading expert at one of China’s most prominent think tanks on China’s economic development and its implications on labor.
He has rich working experiences in advising Chinese government including the State Council, the National Commission on Population and Family planning, the Ministry of Labour and Social Security, the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) as well as the local government like Beijing municipal government for policy making on economic development and employment, training, labour migrations, aging and social security etc. in China. His research interests including labor economics and demographic economics, and published many books and papers in those fields. He also earned many academic awards in China, such as the Highest Economic Prize in China, the Eleventh Sun Yefang Economic Prize in 2004, the Special Prize and the First Class Prize on Soft Science by the National Commission on Population and Family Planning in 2006,etc.

June-August, 2000, Summer Training Program in Quantitative Methods of Social Research by Inter-university Consortium for Political and Social Research, University of Michigan

1996 —1998, doctoral training courses in Economics for the LEAD21 Program of Winrock International at the site of China Agricultural University, sponsored by the Winrock International in collaboration with 12 top Agricultural Universities or research institutions in China, and earned a certificate.
