In order to be considered as a speaker in the China Speakers Bureau, you must have substantial China-related expertise as an academic, business executive, or author.
We have strict criteria for new speakers. They should not only have a proven track record as an excellent speaker on China, they should also be able to do this against a decent remuneration. Speakers’ agencies ask a percentage of the speakers’ fee, so giving free speeches is no plus.
New speakers should have a decent digital imprint. We promote speakers as they are quoted by mainstream media, their activities on social media and otherwise. They should be part of the China debate in some measurable form.
We prefer to work with speakers on the basis of exclusivity. Since much of our promotion is happening through online means, deciding exactly what is generating leads is a tough call, unless we agree on exclusivity.
